The snow is melting in Door County and our thoughts turn to the upcoming music, theater and performing arts season. Here are a few schedules that have been announced:

Steel Bridge Songfest 2011, June 9-12, 2011: The dates are set but the performers have not yet been announced for the 5th annual homage to the iconic bridge in downtown Sturgeon Bay. American Folklore Theatre: This summer’s fare includes the world premiere of Bing the Cherry Musical. It’s story is described as “Hope, love, and laughter in the Cherry Orchards of Door County.” AFT will also bring back two very popular shows - Guys & Does and Lumberjacks in Love.
Third Avenue Playhouse: Offering a spring schedule including the ever popular Copper Box. This Sturgeon Bay venue has yet to announce the summer schedule. So we thought announcing their spring schedule would be a nice bridge to what lies ahead.

March 19 – Sheamus Fitzpatrick & the McNally Boys
March 25-26 and April 1-3 – Little Sandwich Theatre presents Yankee Tavern
April 16 – Laugh Your Taxes Off
April 28-May 1 and May 5-8 – It Had to Be You
May 14 – Sweet Pepprika
May 21 & 22 – Working Underground with Roger Kuhns
Peninsula Music Festival: Celebrating their 59th season August 2-20, 2011. All concerts take place at the Door Community Auditorium. Evening themes range from Broadway to Hollywood to the Apollo Chorus of Chicago and include many classical favorites like the All Tchaikovsky program. Click here for tickets.
